John Green of the Akron-based Bliss Institute of Applied Politics says he will be closely watching today's Republican match-up in Michigan, because...well, just consider some familiar issues, like a troubled auto industry and a raft of foreclosed homes.
JOHN GREEN: Ohio is a state very much like Michigan, with some of the same economic problems and some of the same diversity among the Republican voters. So, there may be something in what happens in Michigan that will have some implications for the campaign in the Buckeye state.
The front-loading of Presidential primaries across the country this year has some political observers concerned that the Republican and Democrat nominees will be all but decided by the time Ohio voters get their say on March 4th. But, John Green says don't be so sure. He thinks the intense competition between the front-runners of both parties could well still be in play by March.
