Senator Bernie Sanders stopped in Ohio Thursday to talk to a crowd of more than thirty-five hundred people at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea.

Following a lively introduction from former State Senator Nina Turner, Sanders took the stage.

"I want to thank all of you for coming on out to discuss some very serious issues," said Sanders.

The Democratic presidential candidate moved quickly from issue to issue in the 50-minute stump speech, touching on subjects ranging from youth unemployment to immigration.

He also criticized international trade agreements and American companies that move their manufacturing operations overseas.

"Every night turn on the TV, they say 'buy this product, buy that product,'" said Sanders.

"If they want us to buy these products, maybe they better start manufacturing these products in Ohio and America."

Among the crowd of supporters listening to Sanders was 18-year old Baldwin Wallace student Hannah Ayers.

"I freaked out. We took Snapchat videos and everything, it was really exciting," said Ayers.

This campaign stop comes just 20 days before the state’s primary on March 15.  In a Quinnipiac University poll released this week, Sanders trails his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by 15 points in Ohio.
