Brelo verdict at 10 live on 90.3

A verdict is expected at 10 o’clock this morning in the trial of Cleveland Police Officer Michael Brelo.

He’s charged with two counts of voluntary manslaughter.  In 2012, some 60 police cars chased two suspects across town, ending in a middle school parking lot.  13 officers including Brelo fired 137 shots at the suspects’ car.  Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams were killed.  Brelo is the only officer charged in their deaths.  He waived his right to a jury in favor of a bench trial.

Judge John O’Donnell will read his decision, and 90.3 will air that verdict live at 10 o’clock.  Stay with 90.3 for updates throughout the morning.
