Ohio Attorney General Reacts to Health Care Ruling
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says he’s disappointed with the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the federal health care law. But he says this fight is not over. He says it’s now up to voters.
DEWINE: "The American people will have the opportunity this fall to do what the Supreme Court failed to do today and that is to strike a blow against Obamacare."
Last year, Ohioans in all 88 counties, voted for a constitutional amendment that was designed to exempt from the insurance purchase mandate of the new federal health care act. It’s unclear, at this point, what will happen to that newly passed amendment in light of the high court’s ruling.
