Clinton's national campaign co-chair Stephanie Tubbs Jones made a noontime appearance at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections to cast an early vote for her candidate. She was part of a statewide campaign to promote the vote-early option for anyone interested in avoiding election day snafus --- by avoiding the voting booth altogether.
TUBBS JONES: One of the big problems we had in 2004, here in the state of Ohio, was a lack of available ballots...long lines...not enough machines...all kinds of controversy with regard to the inability to reach the voting box.
Northeast Ohio voters can cast early ballots for the March 4th primary at their local election board or they may apply to vote early through the mail. The Cuyahoga County Elections board says it's received over 76,000 requests for mail-in ballots, so far. Voters can pick-up applications at any public library or contact their board directly. Application deadline is March 1st.
