During this program we celebrate Polish Independence day which takes place on November 11th, commemorating the anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918. After being wiped off the world's map for 123 years, Poland regained its independence. We also remember Henryk Sienkiewicz, Nobel Prize Laureate in Literature and Andrzej Wajda, famous Polish film director who recently passed away.
