Painter Norman Rockwell and General Electric

At the beginning of the 20th Century, the General Electric Company was pioneering  the development of the light bulb, which was considered a modern- day miracle, because at the time, most light came from candles, oil or gas lamps.  Getting the American people to give this new technology a try, was a challenge.  To convince them to flip the switch, GE turned to one of the most trusted voices of that time - painter, Norman Rockwell.
