Athlete Protests; Puerto Rico Relief Efforts; Mayoral Campaign Finances

On Friday night, President Donald Trump spoke out against NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, protesting racial injustice, first in a speech and then through the weekend on Twitter. On Sunday, about 20 players on the Cleveland Browns sideline knelt, as did a handful of the Colts players -- many more linked arms in solidarity with their teammates. Similar scenes played out in almost every stadium. We discuss the merger of sports and politics with a former NFL player.

As the scope of the devastation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria is assessed and anxious relatives await news on loved ones, Northeast Ohio efforts to send help are underway.

And the Cleveland mayoral race is less than two months away. Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson has raised nearly seven times as much money this year as his general election opponent, Councilman Zack Reed. ideastream's Nick Castele joins us to reveal who's writing the checks.
