Could medication-assisted treatment change the fight against addiction

An estimated 50-thousand Ohioans are addicted to heroin and another 450-thousand misuse prescription pain pills. State officials will soon know, if Ohio will receive more than 50 million dollars from the federal government for heroin and opiate addiction treatment.
 
In our new health unit "Be Well" series on opioids, reporter Marlene Harris-Taylor is with ideastream's Joe Frolik to explain how a huge infusion of cash could help improve access to one form of treatment.
