Cuyahoga County Budget Shortfall, Hough Riots, Black River Kayaks

The roundtable discussed Cuyahoga County's budget shortfall and the standoff between Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Ohio Governor John Kasich. Nick Castele brings us audio he discovered during his reporting on the Hough uprising. The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights collected more than 30 hours of testimony in 1966; describing the difficulty in finding good jobs and housing, the experience of attending segregated schools, and encounters with police. We also preview a clip of the new ideastream documentary, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Cleveland Play House. And before we go, we take a trip down the Black River and learn about local community efforts to "bring back the Black".
