Infant Mortality Summit; Marine Debris; Civil Rights Photo Exhibit

The number of babies dying before their first birthdays is on the rise. An infant mortality summit is taking place here in Cleveland to educate parents-to-be and the community on how to protect our youngest members.

Trash like cigarette butts and plastic bottles continues to be a problem not just in Lake Erie and the other Great Lakes but in bodies of water everywhere. Experts and stakeholders in marine debris,  as it's called, gathered to discuss the effects debris has on people and marine health, and ways to clean it up.

Some of the most powerful stories of our past are told through images. A new exhibit at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage documents a crucial period in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s through the work of nine photographers.
