American Held by North Korea Released

An American detained in North Korea for nearly six months is finally back home.

Jeffrey Fowle arrived at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Wednesday morning. He was arrested in May for leaving a bible at a club for foreign sailors.

The act was interpreted as a crime. In North Korea, independent religious activities are forbidden by the regime because they are seen as potential threats to its authority.
