U.S. Supreme Court Back in Session

This week, the federal judges go back to work.

The Supreme Court justices returned from their summer recess, preparing for the start of the new term which officially begins October 6, the traditional "first Monday."

They have a full docket of hot-button issues to decide on-one of which they've already made and it affects us here in Ohio. It's the issue of early voting-expected to start this Tuesday, but the federal judges put that on hold Monday, just hours before polling stations were to open in the state.

The goal of early voting is usually to increase participation and relieve congestion of polling stations on election day.
