Be Well: Tumor Biology May Contribute to Health Disparities in Colon Cancer

Colon cancer occurs more frequently in African American men and women than in any other racial or ethnic group in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society. They also die more from the disease.  

Earlier this year, researchers at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center made a significant discovery that may be an important first step in developing ways to help combat this health disparity. Producer Kay Colby talked with ideastream's Rick Jackson and explains the discovery, and what it could mean for the future.
