This week we learned about a lady writing lots of letters to encourage people to vote. What topic would YOU write letters to support?

Avery, Leroy Elementary: If I could send out letters to promote an issue it would be for poachers. I think that it is a issue that poachers are killing all of these animals, like the African Elephant, just to get their tusks and I know that their tusks are very valuable, but you could carve out of something else. Also furs, poachers kill animals like tigers for their furs, which is not good. All of these animals are going extinct. Then when those animals start to go on to the endangered species list more and more animals are going to go on the endangered species list because that animal was their food source. People should stop killing animals.

Tristan, Bruce Elementary: I would make them so kids will stop watching YouTube for so long and read a book and just find a book they like. They can still watch YouTube, but just not as long as they do.

Riley, Orville Middle School: If I could write one hundred letters, the issue I would want to try to prevent is texting while driving because it can be very dangerous. More than a thousand people are killed every year. That's crazy. It is easy, we need to try to prevent it to save many people's lives.

Noella, Rushwood Elementary: Dear NewsDepth, If I could make 100 letters to send to random people, I would choose to STOP bullying! Have you ever gone out to recess thinking that you were gonna have fun, then when you were going to see your friend, a bully just comes out of nowhere? Bullies are not fun! But you can stand up to them, or even get another person to help you.

Mackenzie, Claggett Middle School: If I would write a letter to everyone in the world it would be about teachers giving us less homework. We already spend 7 hours at school working as hard as we can, so what is the point of giving more work for us to do at home? When I come home from school I just want to jump on the trampoline, ride my bike or be outside, but what I don't want to do is sit at my desk and do boring homework! So if any teachers are watching this right now I hope you think again about giving out homework out tonight!
