Workforce Connect Manufacturing; State Budget Negotiations Begin; Hometown Tourist Event

Areas leaders have identified workforce development as a key area that needs addressed, if this region is to move forward economically. A new partnership bringing together stakeholders from multiple sectors  has been gathering momentum.
Workforce Connect will look to re-align training, and provide pathways forward for workers, as it creates a pipeline of in-demand talent for northeast Ohio businesses. We will discuss Workforce Connect and how it will apply to workers and employers in manufacturing.  Then, while workforce development is part of the state budget proposal, so are many other priorities. We'll get an update from our statehouse team.     Plus, east side, west side.  A new Destination Cleveland event later this week aims to get Clevelanders to literally come to the other side.
