WVIZ Documentary Examines School Based Health Care; Accelerate 2020

Getting students ready to learn involves more than just textbooks and pencils. Healthy kids learn while sick kids have it harder. So some schools are bringing healthcare on campus. Sunday a new documentary airing on WVIZ PBS --Healthy Students = Strong Learners -- looks at school-based healthcare and how it promotes physical and mental health, leading to better education.
We will meet the filmmaker and talk with the school based health program director for MetroHealth in just a bit. Later, we'll preview next week's Accelerate civic pitch competition, where citizens offer big ideas to improve life in Northeast Ohio.  And we'll start by meeting Hannah Halbert, the new executive director of Policy Matters Ohio.
