It was down to a tie between the Picky Penguins and the Faithful Husky, but thanks to Alan from Cleveland, who phoned in the tie-breaker, the Pet News of the Week is the story of Belyi, the husky left behind when his family fled Ukraine in March. When the family recently returned, Belyi was waiting for them on the doorstep, having survived the shelling and ransacking of the family home, and having spent months scavenging for food in the rubble.
