WCLV listeners voted for Eva, the Belgian Malinois, who defended her owner against a cougar attack while walking on a trail in Northern California. Placing second was Persik, the cat from Ukraine who, with the help from a relative and the Humane Society International, was airlifted to his owner, who was visiting Arkansas in February at the start of the Russian invasion.
